This is my preferred app for mapping my routes. It's specifically for users of the Mac, iPhone or iPad. If you are using iCloud Sync, then inRoute will share data between your Apple devices. Settings and saved routes will sync seamlessly. You can create custom routes based on different criteria and import route data from other applications. You can also use it in your vehicle via CarPlay.
